Detailed Itinerary
DAY 01: Pick up from Kigali and Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park
This is your driver guide for your journey; you will be picked from your accommodation in Kigali or from Kigali International Airport and begin the drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. Along the way you will cross into Uganda at the Rwanda-Uganda border, meet local communities, and experience breathtaking scenery. Depending on your desire and schedule, you will stop for pictures, lunch en-route, and other optional stops.
Five to six hours are the drive time.

DAY 02: Gorilla Habituation Experience and Community visit
Following breakfast at the resort, you will drive to the park headquarters for a briefing from the Uganda Wildlife Authority ranger guide who will assign you a gorilla family group to walk that day. Researchers and ranger guides accompanied by four visitors will venture into the deep impenetrable forest to begin your quest for the uncommon Mountain Gorilla species. From where they were last seen the previous day, the gorilla search always starts. Once you arrive in the habitat of these well-known animals, you will only be allowed to interact with them for four hours; so, always retain maximum silence when with the Gorillas. You are free to shoot pictures and so on. You could go on community walks in the local Batwa community in the evening, where you will be entertained and given stories of their particular way of life.
Usually determined by weather and the movement of the gorillas in the forest, gorilla habituation entails hiking or walking through Bwindi Forest in search of the mountain gorillas. This can sometimes be strenuous depending on the trek that day. Given the fact it is very well organized activity you have 99% chances of seeing the gorillas on your trek. Advanced trackers who track mountain gorilla movements all day in the forest will direct the trip; they will know where they nested for the last night and so guide your search. DAY 03: Transfer back to Kigali to end your 3 Day Bwindi Gorilla Habituation Trip
Early morning breakfast; after you will start your road back to Kigali with stopovers for photography in some of the areas with tourist attractions, you will arrive in Kigali in late afternoon and be driven to your hotel for dinner and overnight or to the airport for your departure.
