Detailed Itinerary
DAY 01: Pick up from Kigali and Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park
This is your driver guide for your journey; you will be picked from your accommodation in Kigali or from Kigali International Airport and begin the drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. Along the way you will cross into Uganda at the Rwanda-Uganda border, meet local communities, and experience breathtaking scenery. Depending on your desire and schedule, you will stop for pictures, lunch en route, and other optional stops.
Lodging: Rushaga Gorilla Havens Lodge or Camp
DAY 02: Gorilla Habituation Experience and Community Visit
After breakfast, drive to park headquarters for a briefing and gorilla family assignment from a UWA ranger. Accompanied by trackers and ranger guides, groups of four visitors trek through Bwindi’s dense forest, starting from the gorillas’ last known location. Experienced trackers who follow the gorillas’ movements guide the search, with a 99% chance of sightings. Once located, you’ll spend four hours observing the gorillas quietly, taking photos as you wish. Afterward, receive a certificate marking your successful trek. In the evening, enjoy a community walk with the local Batwa people, hearing stories and experiencing their traditional way of life.

DAY 03: Transfer back to Kigali to end your 3 Day Bwindi Gorilla Habituation Trip
Early morning breakfast; after you will start your road back to Kigali with stopovers for photography in some of the areas with tourist attractions, you will arrive in Kigali in late afternoon and be driven to your hotel for dinner and overnight or to the airport for your departure.
